The NZBCA was set up in September 2024 and is an association of New Zealand based locally owned, independent, small-medium or niche consultancies. Our network includes 70 consultancies who together lead over 1000 consultants.
The NZBCA provides networking and partnership opportunities, advisory services, consultancy- focused education through webinars and our knowledge base and advocates for the boutique sector with government and industry.
To provide a level playing field for New Zealand’s home-grown consultancies by supporting and empowering them to compete effectively with tier–one and multi-national organisations.
The New Zealand Boutique Consultancy Association (NZBCA) was founded to advance its members' interests by fostering collaboration and connection, and by advocating for the sector.
For too long, the consulting industry has been dominated by large firms, often overshadowing the exceptional value that independent boutique consultancies in New Zealand provide.
Boutiques are in the right place at the right time. In New Zealand, the Government and wider industry are are making moves to remove the barriers for SMEs in the procurement process and the tendency to just go with the old names.
We believe the New Zealand economy and business sector would greatly benefit from embracing the growing and highly capable small and medium consultancy sector. This sector offers a more cost-effective, flexible and ethical alternative.
